1. Who we are and what PassPeers does
PassPeers is operated by Emir Ilkerli, Sattelmacherstraße 6, 21682 Stade, Germany
([email protected]), referred to
as "PassPeers", "we" or "us". PassPeers is an online marketplace that brings together
people who have passed a professional exam, and language teachers, ("tutors") with
people preparing for an exam or learning a language ("candidates") for one-to-one
online sessions.
PassPeers is an intermediary. The tutoring itself is agreed and delivered between the
tutor and the candidate. PassPeers is not a school, does not employ tutors, does not
guarantee any exam result and is not affiliated with any medical council, regulator or
exam provider.
2. Accounts
Tutors sign in with an email link. You must be at least 18 years old and provide
accurate information. You are responsible for everything done through your account.
Candidates do not need an account; they confirm each request by email.
3. Tutor obligations
- You confirm that you personally passed the exam shown on your profile and that your
name, profession, exam, year and licence or registration number are correct. If you
are a language teacher, you confirm instead that you are qualified to teach what your
profile shows and that the teaching qualification you name is real and yours.
- You will never share, sell, recall or reconstruct confidential exam content, including
questions you remember from your own exam. You share your preparation experience,
methods and practice only. Breaking this rule ends your account immediately.
- You deliver accepted sessions yourself, on time, for the duration booked (one hour
unless you and the candidate agree otherwise).
- You are an independent person, not our employee. You are responsible for your own
taxes and any registrations required where you live.
- Your profile is public as soon as you save it. You can hide or delete it at any time.
4. Candidate obligations
- You use sessions for your own exam preparation only.
- You do not ask tutors for confidential or recalled exam content and you do not
record sessions without the tutor's consent.
- You attend the session you booked at the agreed time.
5. Booking and payment
A candidate sends a session request from a tutor's profile and confirms it by email.
The tutor accepts or declines. If the tutor has activated online payments, the hourly
rate shown on the profile at the time of acceptance becomes the fixed price, and the
candidate receives a payment link that is valid for 14 days. The session is booked once
the payment is made. Tutor and candidate then agree the exact time by email and hold
the session within 7 days of payment.
Payments are processed by Stripe. PassPeers collects the payment on behalf of the tutor
and passes it on, minus the platform fee, to the tutor's Stripe account. Stripe pays the
tutor out to their bank on Stripe's normal schedule. Neither PassPeers nor the tutor
sees the candidate's card details.
If a tutor has not activated online payments, the profile says so and payment is
agreed directly between tutor and candidate. PassPeers is not involved in such
payments and cannot refund them.
6. Platform fee
PassPeers keeps a platform fee of 15 % of each payment made through PassPeers. The
remaining 85 % goes to the tutor. The fee covers the website, the matching and the
payment processing. There are no other charges for tutors or candidates. Prices shown
on profiles are the full amounts candidates pay.
7. Cancellations and refunds
- If a paid session does not take place, the candidate can report this through the
link in the payment confirmation email within 10 days of payment. We then refund the
full amount to the card used, and the tutor's share is reversed.
- If the candidate does not attend an agreed session without telling the tutor at
least 24 hours before, the tutor may keep the payment.
- If the tutor cannot hold the session, the candidate is refunded in full.
- Where the two sides disagree, PassPeers decides fairly on the basis of the emails
and information available and may ask both for details. Our decision only concerns the
payment made through PassPeers.
Right of withdrawal: candidates who are consumers in the EU have a 14-day right of
withdrawal. By paying, the candidate asks for the session to be held within that period
and acknowledges that the right of withdrawal is lost once the session has been fully
delivered. If the session has not taken place, the candidate may withdraw and is
refunded in full.
8. Reviews
Only candidates who paid for a session through PassPeers can leave a review, once per
booking. Reviews show the candidate's first name, rating and text publicly on the
tutor's profile. Reviews must be honest and may not contain exam content, personal data
of others or abuse. We may remove reviews that break these rules.
9. Prohibited conduct
Fake profiles, claiming an exam you did not pass, sharing confidential exam content,
submitting invented stories or someone else's route as your own,
moving a booking off the platform to avoid the fee after it was arranged here,
harassment, and any unlawful use are prohibited. We may remove profiles, cancel
bookings and close accounts that break these terms, without notice where necessary.
10. Liability
PassPeers provides the platform with reasonable care but does not warrant that a tutor
will accept a request, that a session will be held, or that any exam will be passed.
PassPeers is liable without limit for intent and gross negligence and for injury to
life, body or health. For slight negligence, PassPeers is liable only for breach of
essential contractual duties and limited to the foreseeable, typical damage. Statutory
consumer rights are not affected.
11. Changes and termination
We may change these terms for the future; tutors are informed by email at least 14 days
before changes take effect and can delete their profile if they disagree. Tutors can
delete their profile at any time from the dashboard. Bookings already paid remain
subject to the terms in force when they were made.
12. Governing law
German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale
of Goods. For consumers, the mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of
residence remain in force. We are not obliged and not willing to take part in dispute resolution before a consumer
arbitration board.
13. Agency listings
Businesses that help health professionals move abroad (recruiters, recognition
consultants, language schools, exam-preparation providers, translators, relocation
services) can buy a listing on the pathway pages. These terms apply between PassPeers and
the listing business, which acts as a trader, not a consumer.
- Price and term. The listing is a monthly subscription at the price shown when you
start it, paid in advance by card through Stripe. It renews every month until you cancel.
You can cancel at any time on your agency page; the listing stays visible until the end of
the paid month. Payments already made are not refunded.
- What is shown. Your name, country, languages, description, services and website,
and your public email if you give one, on the pathway pages for the countries and
professions you choose, clearly marked as a paid listing. Order is random. A listing is not
an endorsement or a check of your services by PassPeers.
- Your obligations. Your information must be true and lawful, and you must hold any
licence your country requires for your services. If you recruit health professionals for
Germany, you confirm that you do not actively recruit from countries on the WHO Health
Workforce Support and Safeguards List (§ 38 Beschäftigungsverordnung) and that candidates
are not charged placement fees.
- Removal. We may hide or remove a listing that breaks these terms or the law, or
after justified complaints from candidates, and refund the unused part of the current
month.
14. Job ads and applications
- Posting. Employers and agencies can post job ads for health professionals. A job
ad costs the price shown before payment, paid once by card through Stripe, and is shown
for 30 days. Agencies with an active paid listing post for free while the listing runs.
Posters act as traders, not consumers. Payments already made are not refunded once the
ad is live.
- Featured ads. For the price shown before payment, a live job ad can be featured:
it is shown before other ads in the job list and marked "Featured" for 30 days. If the
ad would end sooner, it stays live until the featured period ends. Featuring does not change who sees or applies to the ad
in any other way. Not refunded once active.
- Rules for ads. Only real vacancies. Candidates must never be charged any fee to
apply, be placed or be hired. Jobs in Germany must comply with § 38
Beschäftigungsverordnung (no active recruitment of health professionals in countries on
the WHO Health Workforce Support and Safeguards List). We may remove ads that break these
rules or the law without refund.
- Applicants' data. Posters may use applicants' data only to handle the
application for the advertised job, and must delete it when it is no longer needed for
that purpose.
- Hospitations and shared vacancies. Ads for hospitations (observerships) are free.
Staff members may share a current vacancy at their own workplace for free, with a link to
the employer's official ad; applications then go to the employer directly. Whoever shares
a vacancy confirms they work there, shares no confidential information and discloses any
referral bonus. We may remove shared vacancies at the employer's request.
- Applying. Applying is free for candidates. PassPeers does not check employers
and is not a party to any employment contract.
15. Member stories
Signed-in members can send a story about their own experience of moving
abroad as a health professional. The following applies:
- Your own experience only. Write about what you did and experienced.
Do not present rules, fees or deadlines as official facts – they change and
differ between authorities.
- No exam content. Stories must not contain recalled or confidential
exam questions, cases or stations, not even paraphrased.
- No personal data about others. No names or details that could
identify examiners, colleagues, patients, employers or anyone else.
- No medical advice, no advertising. No treatment or dosage advice,
no links, contact details or promotion of services.
- Review and editing. We read every story before publishing and may
decline it without giving reasons. With your agreement we may shorten it and
correct typos; we do not change what you say. We may take a published story
offline if it breaks these rules or someone reports a justified problem.
- Rights. You keep the rights to your story. You allow PassPeers,
free of charge and without a time limit until you delete the story, to
publish it on passpeers.com under the name you chose, in the edited form,
and to link to it. You confirm that you wrote it yourself and that publishing
it does not infringe anyone's rights.
- Deletion. You can delete your story at any time on
/stories/share or by emailing us.
- Not advice. Stories are personal experiences and not official or
professional advice. PassPeers does not check every detail and is not
responsible for decisions made on the basis of a story. Check the route
page and the regulator before you pay or apply.
The community (groups, events and direct messages) is free. You must be at
least 18 years old to join. By joining you accept the
community rules. In particular you must not
post, request or trade recalled or confidential exam questions or material,
advertise recruitment that charges candidates placement fees, send
recruitment or advertising messages, harass anyone, share information that
could identify a patient, or pretend to be someone else.
You may list a chat group on another app (Telegram, WhatsApp, Signal,
Discord, Facebook, LINE, WeChat, Viber or Slack) only if you run or help run
it, it is free to join, it does not share recalled or leaked exam questions,
and it is not run by recruiters who charge candidates. PassPeers only shows
the invite link; it does not run, check or moderate these groups and is not
responsible for what happens in them. The other app's terms apply there.
We may hide or remove a listing at any time, for example after reports that
the link is broken or the group breaks these rules.
You are responsible for what you post. You keep the rights to your content
and grant us a non-exclusive, free right to store and show it on PassPeers
for as long as it is online. Group owners can approve and remove members of
their group and remove posts in it.
Events are organised by members, not by PassPeers. We do not check events,
organisers, places or meeting links and are not responsible for what
happens at an event, within the limits of section 10. Events on PassPeers
are free; organisers must not charge for them.
Anyone can report content: signed-in members with the Report link on every
post, message, group, event and profile, everyone else by email to
[email protected]. We review reports and may remove content, close
conversations and suspend or end community access without prior notice if
the rules or the law are broken. We tell the affected member the reason by
email; you can ask us to look at a decision again by replying within six
months. We may also report illegal content to the authorities where the law
requires it.
We may change or end the community, with reasonable notice where possible.
You can leave at any time and delete your community data in your community
profile.
17. Second-hand market
- PassPeers only provides a noticeboard for private sales between members. PassPeers is not
a party to any sale, does not check items, and does not handle payment, shipping, returns or
disputes. Buyer and seller agree on everything directly. Pay only on pickup or with buyer
protection (for example PayPal Goods & Services).
- You may only list physical study material you own, or a licence the provider allows you to
transfer.
- Not allowed: recalled or confidential exam questions, exam "Protokolle", question
collections or dumps in any form; pirated, copied or scanned books, e-books or PDFs; digital
files of any kind; medicines and medical devices (including instruments and test strips);
anything else that is illegal to sell where buyer or seller is.
- Listings must be truthful (edition, condition, price) and must not contain contact details
or links.
- We may refuse, hide or delete listings and suspend accounts that break these rules, without
notice. Listings reported by three people are hidden until we have checked them.
- Sellers who sell regularly or for profit may count as traders under consumer law and must
then meet the obligations that go with it. The market is meant for private sales of your own
used material.
- Listings run for 60 days and can be renewed.
