Elderly care nurse salary in Germany

Occupation: Geriatric care occupations (no specialisation) – skilled tasks [Berufe in der Altenpflege (ohne Spezialisierung) - fachlich ausgerichtete Tätigkeiten] (KldB 2010 82102). Qualified geriatric nurses (Altenpfleger/in, Pflegefachkraft or Pflegefachfrau/-mann in Altenpflege); general registered nurses have their own code (KldB 81302). The TVöD-P table applies to care staff employed by municipal care homes; private, church and charity providers pay under their own agreements. Full-time employees subject to social insurance (core group) on 31 December 2025, before tax and social contributions; civil servants and the self-employed are not included. Employers report pay only up to the pension contribution ceiling of 8,050 € a month, so figures above it are not published; nor are figures for fewer than 500 employees.
